The Girls' track team placed 6th out of 14 teams at the Trotwood Invitational on Friday. They missed 4th place by 2 points. Earning medals were:
4x800 relay 3rd place: Renner, Hope, Rieder, Young; 2nd in 800m Gardner; 3200m Rieder 3rd and Renner 1st; pole vault Poppaw 2nd and broke the school record again!
The Boys' track team placed 2nd out of 13 teams. They lost to a highly competitive Wayne D1 team. Earning medals were Hyre 1st in 100 and 200; DJ Moore 3rd in 200 with a huge PR and his brother's spikes; 4x800 relay of Stammen, Whorton, Fokkink, and Blake Stacy with 3rd place; 4x400 relay of Bench, Dane, Tipton, and DJ placing 3rd; Shot 2nd place Xavier Stacy; Tipton won the 800; Hester 3rd in pole vault and Gibson winning pole vault
Special commendations go to the 4x100 relay of Adams, Bench, Dane Moore, and Hyre who placed 1st and with their time of 42.28 surpassed the national All-American standard! Congrats on achieving All-American!
Next up we have our highly competitive Wayne meet both Thursday and Friday this week as well as the Newton Twilight meet on Friday. We would love any support from the student body!
