The Brookville Devils secured a 62-50 victory over Valley View in a SWBL Buckeye Division matchup on Saturday afternoon. The game started with high intensity, as both teams traded baskets and finished the first quarter with Brookville holding a slim 19-18 lead.

The second quarter saw a slight slowdown in scoring, but the Devils managed to edge ahead and take a 30-28 lead into halftime.

Coming out of the break, Brookville quickly extended their lead with an 8-0 run, but Valley View responded with a 13-5 surge to narrow the gap as the third quarter came to a close. However, the Devils made their decisive move in the fourth, opening the period with a dominant 12-0 run. That run gave them the cushion they needed, and they were able to finish strong to seal the 62-50 win.

As a team, Brookville was active on both ends of the floor, registering 31 rebounds, 11 assists, and 10 steals. The standout player for the Devils was Jolie Gudorf, who recorded a double-double with 27 points and 10 rebounds, leading the team to victory.

The win improved Brookville’s record to 5-4 overall and 3-2 in the league.
