Brookville kicked off their season Friday night in the Devil’s Den with a thrilling matchup against the Monroe Hornets. Despite a sluggish offensive start, where the Devils managed just 13 points in the first half, their defense kept them within striking distance. At halftime, they were trailing by just 1 point.
In the second half, Brookville found their rhythm. They surged ahead in the third quarter and sealed the victory with a dominant 19-point performance in the final quarter, ultimately pulling away for a strong win. The Devils were also aided by a raucous crowd, with students and fans showing up in full force to support the team. Their energy and loud cheers throughout the game gave the team a major boost.
